Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Hessel Industries GmbH (“GENSIQ”, “we”) processes personal data when you use this website, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Hessel Industries GmbH
Brügelweg 6, 42579 Heiligenhaus, Germany
Phone: +49 2056 259870
Email: info@gensiq.com

The controller determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider (GoDaddy). Personal data collected on this website is stored on the provider’s servers — this may include IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, and other data generated through a website. Hosting is used for the purpose of providing the website to visitors, based on our legitimate interest in a secure and efficient provision of our online offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where applicable, a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with the provider.

3. General information and mandatory disclosures

We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. When you use this website, various personal data are collected. We explain below what data we collect and how we use it.

Storage duration

Unless a more specific period is stated in this policy, your personal data will be stored until the purpose for processing no longer applies. If you request deletion or withdraw consent, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for retaining it (e.g. statutory retention periods); in the latter case, deletion takes place after those reasons cease to apply.

Legal bases

Where you have consented, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Where data is required to perform a contract or pre-contractual measures, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests, it is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The relevant legal basis is stated in each case below.

Revocation of consent

You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data at any time.

Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

Data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format.

Access, rectification and erasure

You have the right to obtain information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of processing, and, where applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of that data.

SSL/TLS encryption

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security and to protect the transmission of confidential content. An encrypted connection is indicated by “https://” and the lock icon in your browser.

4. Data collection on this website

Server log files

The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These are: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing device, time of the server request, and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. Collection is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — we have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of our website.

Contact form and email contact

If you send us inquiries via the contact form or by email, your details — including the contact data you provide (such as name and email address) and the content of your message — will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and any follow-up questions. Where your request relates to the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; otherwise it is our legitimate interest in handling inquiries effectively (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and your consent where requested (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We retain this data until you request deletion, withdraw consent, or the purpose for storage no longer applies, subject to mandatory statutory retention periods.

Web fonts (Google Fonts)

This website may use externally hosted fonts (Google Fonts) provided by Google. When you load a page, your browser may connect to Google servers to retrieve the fonts, transmitting your IP address. This is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a uniform presentation). (If the fonts are self-hosted, this section does not apply and should be removed.)

5. Your rights

Within the limits of applicable law, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact us at info@gensiq.com.
